FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
We’re here to provide the answers you need before, during, and after your treatment journey. Below, we’ve answered the most common questions we receive from patients.
1. Do I need a referral from a doctor to see a physiotherapist?
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment at PhysioCare Wellness Centre. You can schedule your session directly with us. However, if you have an existing medical condition or injury that requires specialized care, it’s always helpful to bring along any previous medical reports or recommendations. We work alongside your healthcare provider to ensure you receive comprehensive care.
2. How long will my first physiotherapy session last?
Your first session typically lasts 60 minutes. During this time, our physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment, review your medical history, and discuss your symptoms and recovery goals. Afterward, we’ll begin your treatment, which may include hands-on therapy, gentle exercises, and recommendations for follow-up care.
3. How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?
he number of sessions depends on your condition, goals, and recovery progress. Some patients may experience relief after just a few sessions, while others with chronic or complex conditions may require ongoing treatment. After your first session, your physiotherapist will create a personalized treatment plan that includes the recommended number of sessions to achieve optimal recovery. Regular progress assessments will help us adjust your plan as needed.
4. Do you offer home exercises, and how do they help my recovery?
Yes! After your assessment, your physiotherapist will provide you with a tailored home exercise program to accelerate your recovery. These exercises are designed to complement the treatments you receive in the clinic and can be done at your own pace. Home exercises help to maintain strength, improve flexibility, and support ongoing recovery between appointments.
5. What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We understand that life can get busy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. You can reschedule easily by calling our clinic or managing your appointment through our online booking system. We’ll be happy to find a new time that works for you.
